EMR ENQUIRY
Think your Queensland EMR listing is wrong?
What to know if you believe land on the Environmental Management Register has not actually been subjected to contamination or a notifiable activity.
Queensland introduced a specific enquiry pathway for landowners who believe EMR-listed land has not been subjected to contamination or a notifiable activity.
The government asks for supporting material where available, including current and historical title searches, survey plans, land-use evidence, previous correspondence, environmental reports and development approvals.
Only the landowner or their appointed legal representative can make this enquiry. This pathway is distinct from a full contaminated-land investigation to amend or remove a legitimately recorded contamination issue.
