The Environmental Management Register can include land where a notifiable activity has been or is being carried out, as well as contaminated land.
Queensland examples include service stations, cattle dips, tanneries, wood-treatment sites, landfills, fuel storage and refuse tips. A register entry should be interpreted in the context of the recorded activity and site history.
For due diligence, collect the register result, historical uses and available reports before deciding whether specialist investigation is warranted.
