RAP · REMEDIATION ACTION PLAN

Remediation Action Plan: move from investigation toward a defined response.

Where contamination has been characterised and action is required, a Remediation Action Plan can set out how remediation is intended to be undertaken and assessed. It should be based on appropriate site-specific evidence.

1 · TRIGGER

What triggered the need?

Property purchase or sale, development, subdivision, planning conditions, register information, suspected contamination, remediation or another project requirement.

2 · SCOPE

Clarify the required outcome

The right investigation or report depends on the site history, available evidence, proposed land use and the decision that needs to be made.

3 · MATCH

Find the right specialist

LandNexa helps structure the enquiry so relevant contaminated-land professionals can understand the property, trigger and likely scope.

What does a Remediation Action Plan do?

A RAP can document remediation objectives, the proposed remediation approach, controls, validation requirements and other project-specific measures. The appropriate content depends on the contamination, site setting, proposed use and applicable requirements.

What usually comes before a RAP?

A remediation plan should be informed by adequate investigation. Existing PSI, DSI, sampling, risk assessment and other technical information should be provided to the professional preparing or reviewing the remediation approach.

Think beyond the remediation works

Projects may also need validation, management plans, auditor involvement or other approvals depending on the circumstances. Clarifying the required end state at the beginning can help avoid commissioning a plan that does not address the decision-maker’s needs.

Important: LandNexa is an information and specialist-discovery platform. It does not perform environmental investigations, determine project-specific regulatory requirements or certify that a particular professional is suitable for a specific site.
