SELLER DISCLOSURE
Selling Queensland property on the EMR or CLR
A practical starting point for understanding contaminated-land register information in Queensland's seller-disclosure process.
Queensland Government guidance states that the requirement to disclose to buyers if land is listed on the EMR or CLR now forms part of the Seller Disclosure Statement.
If you do not know whether land is listed, a current land-register search can help establish the recorded position. A register search does not necessarily reveal contamination or notifiable activity that has never been notified to the department.
If a listing creates transaction questions, the useful professional may depend on whether you need legal/conveyancing advice, environmental investigation, register amendment or another outcome.
Use the primary source. Rules and records can change. LandNexa provides general discovery information and does not replace regulator, legal, planning or environmental advice.
